Biography
"Therefore go and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age."
--Matthew 28:19-20
Rev. Gary Swanson is originally from Davenport, Iowa and graduated
from Davenport West High School. He attended the University
of Iowa, Iowa City, and graduated from the Course of Study for
Local Pastors at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City,
Missouri.
Pastor Gary is a second career pastor. His first career was
in the automotive aftermarket, working in sales and management
at the warehouse level. He has served the United Methodist Church
both as laity and clergy. Some of his church interests are prayer,
preaching, teaching Bible and reaching unchurched people. His
hobbies include wood-working, general repairs and sports.
