Lenten Study

On Wednesday evenings (February 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25) from 5:30 – 7:00pm at Tailwinds Brewing Company (1035 Main Street, Union Grove, WI 53182), I invite you to join me as we study the book Toxic Charity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those Thye Help (And How to Reverse It).

This book was one of the more enlightening and challenging books that I have read in ministry. I led a study on this book at Dodgeville UMC and folks found it illuminating but
also incredibly frustrating because it challenges our preconceived notions about how our ministries and charitable giving may help and/or hurt the communities we seek to serve!
